"One Lord, one faith, one baptism,"
In light of the Baptism service we are having this coming Sunday, I wanted to address this topic from a Biblical standpoint, a scriptural point of view. When we talk about baptism, different things come to mind for different people. The reason for is because some Christian groups sprinkle, some pour, yet others will immerse a person completely into the water. Some Christian groups will baptise infants, and others baptise adults. Some groups even baptise on behalf of the deceased. Others will say that baptism is not important and they do not baptise at all.
There are many different groups and many different ways and views on Baptism, but Ephesians 4:5 tells us that there are not many baptisms, but one…"one baptism".
Which baptism is the true baptism?
